The PAL Program
The Peer Assistance Leader Program provides a valuable connection to campus for the under-represented non-traditional and commuter student population. PALs work up to 20 hours per week and are located next to the 6th floor lounge of the Arkansas Union.
What does a PAL do for other undergraduate students?
- Provide ideas and insight on how to adjust to a new, larger, more complex environment.
- Give advice and tips on student success issues such as parking, registration, where to eat, how and where to meet other students, etc.
- Share knowledge of campus opportunities and University resources.
- Bring increased awareness of student life, clubs, organizations and activities.
- Offer assistance with educational goals and career choices.
If you would like to talk to a PAL, call 575-7351 and make an appointment OR email: occ@uark.edu
