Non-Traditional & Adult Students
If you're not sure whether you are a non-traditional or adult student, check out the UA's definition.
Fall 2011 - There are now over 2946 non-traditional students enrolled at the University of Arkansas. The numbers keep going up! (*using age, marital status, enrollment status only)
Search "UA Nontraditional Neighborhood" and add us as a friend. OCC invites UA nontrads (past and present) to use this group as a way to connect and find each other, share resources, and celebrate successes!
OCC knows that adult students face unique challenges while attending college. Be sure to check out some student success stories so you can see that you're not alone in your journey to obtain a degree. And be sure to check out the valuable tips contributed by other students like you.
This handbook contains information on a variety of topics of special interest.

Scholarship & Award Opportunities
We are aware that scholarship and award opportunities can be a little difficult to find so we've included some on our site that are specific to the UA or local area.
Prospective students should review the steps on returning to school for answers to many frequently asked questions. If your question is not answered, feel free to email using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. If we don't know the answer, we will do our best to find out for you.
For those students with children, information and links related to childcare are provided on this page.
